DREAMS, ROOTS, WOODS - THEATRE IN NATURE

PARTNER

THE PROJECT

Dreams, Roots, Woods is an international youth exchange project that brings together young people from Palestine, Spain, Greece, and Italy from different social and cultural backgrounds.

The project is designed for those who want to explore themselves and connect with others through theater and contact with nature.

A working residency aimed to exchange ideas, experiences, artistic and social practices.

The work will be accompanied by Shakespeare's “A Midsummer Night's Dream” as a silent source of inspiration. In this story there are two intertwined couples who flee into a magical forest, where fairies manipulate their feelings through spells and misunderstandings. Between dream and reality, order and chaos, the characters experience transformation before a new harmony is restored.

The play will be just a guide to the themes and atmospheres of the artistic activities: irrational power of love, metamorphosis, relationship between dream and reality will be just some of the topics to design practices aimed to explore the transformative power of theatre within the magical setting of Nature.
